Goals of Viva Bach Peterborough:
Engage with Monadnock area residents of all ages: Reach an audience of 400 local residents, and in succeeding years (2,3,4,etc...), grow the number of local residents who attend.
Provide work opportunities for professional musicians: Properly compensate all professional musicians who we engage to participate in this Festival and help develop the creative practice of 60+ amateur participants providing them with opportunities to grow musically and to perform great works of music
Support local businesses (restaurants, hotels/inns, retail shops): Utilize venues in downtown Peterborough, resulting in more revenue for local businesses
Offer opportunities to participate via scholarships for young people (under 21): Provide 10+ young people – aspiring musicians at the HS and college level - with an opportunity to participate in Viva Bach Peterborough through scholarships. Develop partnerships with local school districts (Conval, Conant, Monadnock Regional, Wilton-Lyndeborough) so students can receive credit for participating.
Bolster Peterborough’s already stellar reputation as a destination for the Arts in the Monadnock region: Reach an audience of 50 visitors from outside of the Monadnock region and grow the number in succeeding years - focus on attracting audiences within 1-2 hour drive to our region for a weekend of play
