This is a wonderful opportunity for Monadnock region artists to take part in a grand tradition in the Keene area, promote public access to the arts, and create a gallery of art in our downtown storefront windows. We encourage artists of all mediums to submit work. Please note that the jury will give first priority to emerging artists and artists who are new to Keene ArtWalk. For the third year, ArtWalk is also accepting up to 5 entrants as ‘visiting artists’ who reside outside of the Monadnock Region.

There is a non-refundable $40 entry fee.

What is it?

Keene ArtWalk is an annual celebration of local artists and the longest running festival in downtown Keene, NH. For one week at the end of May/early June, Keene’s Main Street and downtown area comes alive with art through a showcase of Monadnock region artists. It is an opportunity for residents and visitors to take a self-guided tour around town as artists partner with local shops and storefronts to set up a pop-up personal gallery for their creations. Mediums range from photography, ceramics, quilting, mixed media, watercolor, oils, and pastels of professional artists to creations of students in local schools.

During one day of Keene ArtWalk we host the Keene ArtWalk Festival. It is a day of hands on and interactive arts activities and music where you not only get to witness art, but you get to be a part of art! For one day during ArtWalk, the annual Keene ArtWalk Festival takes over Railroad Square with live music, performances, and family-friendly activities like live painting, demos, community mural creation, face painting, and more!
