Arts Alive offers fiscal sponsorship to new arts organizations working their way towards independence as nonprofits and to artists exploring community-centered projects and creating work in the Monadnock region.

The Big idea

Friends of Public Art (FPA) contributes to the historic, social, cultural and economic vitality through the creation of public art installations. 


Friends of Public Art's Current Project

Friends of Public Art is looking for funding to pay for a mural painted on 310 Marlborough St. Keene, NH on May 14th,15th,16th.17th & 18th for May is Mural Month!  The mural will be painted by Polina Soloveichik from Russia, based in Berlin Germany. We are looking to raise $3000 to pay for the artist, an assistant, travel expenses and food while she is here painting. The theme is in the realm of Abstract Nature. An artist was hired to create two benches from various materials including recycled old bicycle parts.

Kinetic Bike Competition

Friends of Public Art hosted New England's first kinetic bike building contest, featuring bicycles crafted by local makers, and propelled in alternative ways! They plan to make this a bi-annual event.
